Part of Nike's eco-conscious Space Hippie collection, the Space Hippie 01 'Obsidian', released in 2020, is crafted from "space junk" or recycled materials. It features a Flyknit upper made from recycled plastic bottles, T-shirts, and yarn scraps, dyed in a deep obsidian blue. Its distinctive crater foam sole is also made from a blend of standard Nike foams and Nike Grind rubber.
