Moshpit Mounties
Our love of Canada and its symbols have not lessened, even in these frustrating times. Although, this doesn’t mean that we don’t also think that there is a lot of work that needs to be done within our country, and across the world when it comes to systemic racism and injustices. Whatisadam’s “Moshpit Mounties” plays with the iconography of Canada’s RCMP, originally intending to be a humours imagining of the RCMP participating in a moshpit. However, in light of current affairs it can also be interrupted as something touching on the frustration we are all feeling.  "Moshpit Mounties wasn’t created with current police brutality or injustices in mind, but the fact that there is a struggle or brawl in the image does touch on that. In a way, maybe this image can also be interpreted as the internal struggle the RCMP may be dealing with, and the fight to get to a better place.” - WIA Station 16 will be donating a percentage of each print sold to DESTA Black Youth Network in Montreal. 20" x 26" inches Signed by artist Comes with a certificate of authenticity Edition 50 Hand-pulled 8 colour silkscreen print Sold unframed
